This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager at our call center in San Antonio, TX.
Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Manager has a high level of responsibility. You oversee all human resources functions in a 400+ employee call center. You also have full accountability and responsibility to drive the hourly recruitment for your site. You ensure that Transcom is always well positioned in the community to attract top talent.
You are a critical thinker with creativity, empathy, a sense of fairness and thrive on a challenge. You must be able to execute small, tactical projects as well as large, strategic initiatives.
Be the first line support for employees for HR related issues
Answer questions, research and resolve issues and ensure appropriate documentation is completed
Assist the other members of the management team with attendance and performance management process
Promote and manage local implementation of corporate HR initiatives
Ensure compliance with the regulations set out under Transcom policies, State and Federal labour laws.
Coordinate company sponsored activities to promote a positive and enjoyable work place.
Conduct information sessions at various local venues
Investigate and coordinate municipal, state and federal employment programs available in your community
Oversee recruitment efforts in the site including processing applications, testing, behavioral based interviewing, reference checks, creative marketing, financial tracking and employee studies that increase employee success and reduce employee turnover.
Oversee the development of creative advertising and track effectiveness of all advertising efforts
Qualifications and Experience
College / University graduate with related degree (or related experience)
Minimum 3 years HR experience in a fast paced environment
Solid understanding of state and federal labor laws
Experience working on both small and large projects in a team environment
Creative and innovative; you will take the initiative to solve problems and recommend improvements
Friendly, professional and outgoing to promote positive working relationships
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
